Amplifying Gratitude and Crystal Soap Making Workshop

by Bliss Shala September 06, 2018

Welcome to our Mindfulness x Arts and Crafts workshop series.

I love using gentle herbal soap bars that are non-toxic and friendly to my skin. This time, we are taking Soap Making to a whole different level making Crystal soaps!

Don’t they look pretty? These crystal soaps are so versatile that they can be used as ornaments or hand soaps.

Mindfulness for Children
In our past soap making workshops, we have children from 4 years old to 8 years old participating. For the children, we had something special planned!

All our workshops begin with a short 15 to 20 minutes meditation; it is a great way to introduce breath and mindfulness to the children. In this workshop, we started with an energizing breath-work and place our hands on our hearts, listening and feeling our heart beating.

We then introduced the term ‘Gratitude’ to the children and asked them if there is anything in this world that they are grateful, thankful or feel love towards.

They are then encouraged to express that on paper, through drawing or writing.

Also for children, they have options to make rainbow soap popsicles, dinosaur soaps and many more!

Explore and Create

Through these workshops, Amanda and I are amazed by how creative our participants are. Initially we only had amethyst and rose quartz crystal soaps (purple and pink) in mind. However, our participants had different ideas.

Some made watermelon crystal soaps, some made sapphire soaps, others made sunrise crystal soaps and the finished products are both surprising and beautiful!

If you are keen to participate in our workshops, do drop us a message! Our workshops have flexible dates and will start when there is a minimum of 5 participants.
