Rest and Breathe
When you own your breath, and dare to rest, nothing can steal your peace
In the first quarter of 2020, we are choosing YES to a well-rested you so that you can face the New Year with brilliance!
In this 2.5-hour workshop, you will experience the Daring to Rest yoga nidra meditation, and learn a couple of conscious breathing practices. Yoga nidra is a sleep-based relaxation technique. Each time we lie down (or sit, if you prefer), we will go through guided breath work, body sensing, and visualisations that are known to help people rest better.
The breath work is meant to bring your body and mind to balance. There are no fanciful yoga poses to do. Each time we lie down, we will invite you to come home to yourself with a deep sense of self care and appreciation.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATORS
Youmin is Southeast Asia’s pioneer Daring To Rest yoga nidra facilitator. Through her work of nature and forest therapy, a common theme of ‘rest’ kept coming up from her clients. This led Youmin to ponder and wonder deeper about rest in our modern times. Amidst all our do-ing and achieve-ing, we have forgotten our fundamental need for rest; we have even forgotten how to rest. In her own journey, Youmin continues to embrace rest. She believes that the time has come to change the narrative: rest is productive. She hopes to share a safe and nurturing space for people to rest in the gap of no-thing-ness, honouring self, then rising up and thriving in the well-rested versions of themselves. Her work in the rest modalities of nature and forest therapy and yoga nidra have been shared at international and local conferences, retreats and workshops. Youmin has been an invited yoga nidra practitioner at Panpuri Wellness Centre Bangkok, Museflower Retreat and Spa Chiang Rai. She also works with companies including GIC and Aberdeen Standard Investments to introduce rest modalities for staff wellness. She is also a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and is the founder of Xiu Nature Connections.
Krisa is currently a certificate candidate in Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). She is a long time yoga practitioner and completed her traditional Yoga and Ayurveda in India. As a mother, she believes in mindful birthing and is a Pre and Post Natal instructor. She constantly accredits meditation as the transformative force in her life. It was only through much introspection and development of her inner awareness that she is now able to bring joy and maturity into each class she conducts.
“Many times our answers are within. I too, was constantly seeking for external validation, when true joy lies within. My dharma (duty) is to give back so that others can also discover completeness within themselves. When that happens, total health – physical, mental, social and spiritual health naturally follows.”
Krisa extends her deepest gratitude to all her teachers S.N Goenka, Dr Omanand and family for teaching her unconditional love and forbearance.
